ABOUT ME

I truly believe that every day is a gift, and truly something to celebrate.

In 2011, I graduated from Sacred Heart University with a Masters in Elementary Education, Bachelors in Psychology, and minors in honors Sociology, and French. I also went on to complete my degree in Special Education. After graduating, I worked for a short time in public schools and two years in Montessori education before realizing I had a greater purpose outside of the classroom. With a love for teaching and helping children, I decided to shift my profession in a different direction.

My love, passion and desire to learn have allowed for a true deepening of my yoga practice and understanding for healing the body with movement. With a desire to bring the gift of yoga into the lives of adults, children and families, I completed my 200-hour basic teacher training and my 95-hour children and teen yoga teacher training. Since graduating, I have been trained and certified in Qi Gong for depression and cancer, Radiant Child Yoga for children with special needs, Kundalini Yoga for self-esteem, Reiki Level 2, and Taekwondo Black Belt . I also went on to receive my Somatic Body Psychotherapy license with the hopes of starting a private practice one day.

Currently I work as an Educational Consultant for Zensational Kids Yoga program for schools, Yoga and Somatic Movement Practitioner in Private Residences for children and families.

In addition, I also teach a variety of yoga and movement class, including Vinyasa, Flow, Basic, Gentle Restorative, Yoga Tone, Yoga Dance, Somatic Yoga, Children and Teens, Family Yoga, Qi Gong, and Yoga for Children with Special Needs.

In my teaching and personal practice, I incorporate various styles of yoga, including Ashtanga, Iyengar, Restorative, Viniyoga, Kundalini yoga and Qi Gong, while also weaving in the use of mindfulness, meditative techniques, somatics and both tapping and spiritual affirmations.

I hope to use my empathy, compassion, and knowledge of yoga to bring peace, happiness, smiles, and joy to the lives of children, adults and families of all ages.
